Next Sunday is the beginning of the Lenten season that leads up to Holy Week, which climaxes with Good Friday and Easter. Lent leads us on a journey toward the passion and death of Jesus. But it is more than a dramatic or visual journey. It spiritually prepares us for Holy Week by challenging us to repent and follow Jesus. It is a powerful reminder to Christians and a clear witness to non-believers of the center, the essence, the core of Christian faith. The preaching texts for the next few Sundays will be taken from the Gospel of John. Watch and listen as John confronts us with the compelling truth about Jesus through his story he invites us to “come and see” his transforming glory.
